Silk front, hand-coloured using texta. Lightly embroidered.
I resisted adding a hanging loop to the butterflies, although one could easily be manufactured with a safety pin. The perching butterfly has a bit of rice in its lower half to give it a bit of weight so that it stays put on a bookshelf or nestled against a lamp or vase on a bedside table.
Please note that the texta is not fast and the colour will run and dissipate quickly with any contact with water/moisture. This makes it unsuitable for wear or outside display.
