Another heavenly offering from the Gabbee Stolp collection. It is a one-off piece (not really wearable) called Soft Shell vessel, the price is $180, and its materials are: Pacific oyster shell, velvet, thread and silk ribbon. When Gabbee first showed it to me, she described it as being ‘like a little container or box’. When I photographed it this morning with a ring inside, I wrote down: ‘would sit quietly on bedside table just being the most beautiful thing ever’. Its dimensions are approx. 9cm X 6cm X 4cm (high); it is new and unused though the silk ribbon is delicate and has a couple of little flaws.
