This special version of the dolly flower was made following a commission for a wearable neckpiece. I made two versions as I explored the scale and nature of this ‘conversion’. At 35cm tall, this dolly is smaller than the original size, though still much larger than average as pendants go!
Made from pale dusky pink textured silk. There is a quick pic taken of the back of the flower showing the additional loops created for wearability - I wanted to ensure it would be comfortable around the neck and not drag, twist or move around too much. It is very light, stuffed with silk remnants and poly floss.
The silk necklace is adjustable in length.
Spot wash only with lukewarm water and mild soap.
Made in Naarm.
