Iridescent hinged trinket box in the style of a clam. Beautiful, charming and a little tacky, too.
Likely porcelain with a plated metal frame/hinge.
11cm X 11cm X 7cm (height).
The marking on the base suggests a French manufacturer - it says ‘Exclusive model, partially hand-painted’.
Condition is good. There is a chip on one side - not very prominent. The hinge feels a little loose although its quite sound and in very usable condition.
