Wildflower (velvet)
Each wildflower is a one-off made from lovely remnant materials, with a tiny bit of poly fill. This particular flower is a special patchwork that uses off-cuts of a vintage silk blend velvet quilt. (I think I should call it velour but I much prefer the word velvet).
It is photographed here front and back, to show its quite different sides.
It’s a purely whimsical piece, designed to flop on a pillow or hang from a doorknob etc. There is little discreet loop on the head of the flower at back through which the hanging ribbon can be removed or exchanged.
Height/length (not including hanging loop) is 45cm. Wing span is 34cm.
Cold spot wash when required. A full immersion wash may result in some colour bleed/transference.
